Multiboot su usb per Gigablue

Finalmente il plugin Multiboot su usb pen per il nostro Gigablue (per SE e per SOLO)

Premetto che non è farina del mio sacco ma il merito è di "scp" un utente del sito giga support; mi sono limitato alla traduzione e
alla trascrizione delle prove effettuate esemplificando spero.

!!!! L'utilizzo del multiboot su usb pen è indipendente dal kernel dell''immagine in flash e non ne causa alcuna modifica!!!!

Italysat non si assume alcuna responsabilità per eventuali danni ai Vostri ricevitori!!!

Si possono utilizzare firmware sia con kernel 2.6.36 sia 3.1.1.

Si crea da sistema operativo Linux (Ubuntu 12.04; si può usare anche il Live CD) su una pen usb (nel mio caso da 4GB) un multiboot di n immagini (indipendenti da quella che si ha in flash). La capacità della pen usb viene suddivisa così:

- 512MB per la prima partizione; (che può essere utilizzata normalmente anche per lo swap)
- resto della dimensione suddivisa in parti uguali per N immagini create

Nel mio esempio ho creato 3 immagini per provare su una pen usb da 4GB, quindi ho ottenuto:

- 512 MB per la prima partizione;
- 3 immagini ciascuna da 1,2GB.

Occorrente:

- Sistema Operativo Ubuntu 12.04 o Live CD o Virtual Machine (ho testato direttamente da S.O.);
- Una pen usb non partizionata etichettata "USB"(nel mio caso ho usato una da 4GB);
- Lo script di creazione multiboot mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip ;
- All'interno di mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip è presente anche il plugin enigma2-plugin-extensions-multibootselect_1.0-r5_mipsel.ipk che citerò più avanti;
- Le immagini dei firmware (nel mio caso 3: le ultime di openmips, openAAF e HDFreaks_v4).

Procedere tutto da PC con Ubuntu 12.04 o Live CD o Virtual machine:

!!!! NON ESEGUIRE LO SCRIPT DI CREAZIONE MULTIBOOT DAL GIGABLUE PENA IL BLOCCO DELLO STESSO !!!!

- Decomprimere i files zip delle immagini nella cartella Home ovvero "~"
(nel mio caso ho decompresso nelle cartelle nominate openmips, openaaf e hdfreaks_v4)
- Copiare il file mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip nella vostra Home;
- Aprire un terminale e digitare come segue:

sudo apt-get install dosfstools e2fsprogs mtd-utils p7zip-full rsync unzip
cd ~
unzip mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip
mkdir ~/mke2usb
cd ~/mke2usb
tar xzvf ~/mke2usb-gigablue-r7.tar.gz

Così facendo creerà la cartella "mke2usb" col suo contenuto nella Home;

- Inserire la usb pen non partizionata etichettata USB nella porta usb del PC e digitare dal terminale:

df

Con questo comando sì saprà a quale lettera è associata la usb pen (nel mio caso /dev/sdg)

- Creare il multiboot sulla pen così:

sudo sh ~/mke2usb/mke2usb.sh /dev/sdg /media/USB ~/openmips ~/openaaf ~/hdfreaks_v4

- e' possibile sovrascrivere delle immagini dal terminale (ad esempio sostituire la 3 con neutrinohd decompressa nella Home):

sudo sh ~/mke2usb/mke2usb.sh /dev/sdg /media/USB transfer 3 ~/neutrinohd

- La scelta dell'immagine al riavvio successivo si ottiene dal terminale del PC (ad es. la 2a img):

sudo sh ~/mke2usb/mke2usb.sh /dev/sdg /media/USB bootfrom 2

- Oppure da telnet:

/media/usb/bootfrom.sh 2

reboot

!!! "usb" in minusculo!!!

- O dal decoder col plugin enigma2-plugin-extensions-multibootselect_1.0-r5_mipsel.ipk (contenuto nel file mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip) che va copiato in /tmp e installato in ogni immagine.

A questo punto creata la multiboot USB pen, la togliete dal PC e la inserite nella porta usb posteriore del Giga spento (non in stby).
Avviate il giga e, se tutto è stato fatto correttamente, si avvierà la 2a immagine che scelta.
NON funziona dalla porta frontale del Giga SE; se avete un hub usb rimuovete l' HardDisk!!

!!! NOTA BENE !!!

Nel Gigablue SOLO sono riuscito ad avviare la openMips e la openAAF, mentre la hdFreaks_v4 non l'ho testata.
Voglio sottolineare che i firmware per SOLO scaricati nella USB pen multiboot non ne permettevano l'avvio: invece utilizzando i firmware per SE il multiboot ha funzionato.

RIBADISCO: I FIRMWARE PER GIGA SE SCARICATI ESCLUSIVAMENTE PER CREARE LA MULTIBOOT USB PEN!!!!

Per gli utenti col Gigablue SOLO usare il multiboot su usb pen fa risparmiare il tempo di flashare.

You can use both firmware with kernel 2.6.36 and 3.1.1.

Is created by the Linux operating system (Ubuntu 12.04, you can also use the [url = "http://www.ubuntu-it.org/download"] Live CD [/ url]) on a usb pen (in my case by 4GB) a multiboot images of n (independent of that seen in flash). The ability of the usb pen is divided as follows:

- 512 for the first partition; (which can be normally used also for swap)
- Rest of size N divided into equal parts to create images

In my example I have created 3 images to try on a 4GB usb pen, so I got:

- 512 MB for the first partition;
- 3 images each of 1.2 GB.

You will need:

- Operating System Ubuntu 12.04 or Live CD or Virtual Machine (I tested directly by SO);
- A non-partitioned usb pen labeled "USB" (In my case I used a 4GB);
- The script creation multiboot [url = "http://www.2shared.com/file/2GkWKO-i/mke2usb-gigablue-r7.html"] mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip [/ url];
- Within mke2usb-gigablue-r7.zip is also the enigma2-plugin-plugin-extensions-multibootselect_1.0 r5_mipsel.ipk that I will mention later;
- The images of the firmware (in my case 3: the last of openmips, and openAAF HDFreaks_v4).

Proceed everything from PCs with Ubuntu 12.04 or Live CD or Virtual machine:

!! DO NOT RUN THE SCRIPT FOR CREATING MULTIBOOT GIGABLUE PENALTY FROM THE SAME BLOCK!!

- Unzip the zip files of images on the home folder or "~"
(In my case, I unzipped the folder named openmips, and openaaf hdfreaks_v4)
- Copy the file-mke2usb gigablue-r7.zip in your home;
- Open a terminal and type as follows:

sudo apt-get install dosfstools e2fsprogs mtd-utils rsync unzip p7zip-full
cd ~
unzip-mke2usb gigablue-r7.zip
mkdir ~ / mke2usb
cd ~ / mke2usb
tar xzvf ~ / mke2usb-gigablue-r7.tar.gz

Doing so will create the folder "mke2usb" with its contents in the home;

- Insert the USB pen nonpartitioned labeled USB into the USB port of the PC terminal and type:

df

This command will cause to which letter is associated with the usb pen (in my case / dev / sd g

- Create a multiboot on pen like this:

sudo sh ~ / mke2usb/mke2usb.sh / dev / sdg / media / USB ~ / ~ openmips / openaaf ~ / hdfreaks_v4

- And 'can overwrite the images from the terminal (for example, replace the 3 with neutrinohd decompressed in the Home):

sudo sh ~ / mke2usb/mke2usb.sh / dev / sdg / media / USB transfer ~ 3 / neutrinohd

- The choice of image on the next reboot you get from the PC terminal (eg. The second img):

sudo sh ~ / mke2usb/mke2usb.sh / dev / sdg / media / USB bootfrom 2

- Or from telnet:

/ media / usb / bootfrom.sh 2

- Or by the decoder with the enigma2-plugin-plugin-extensions-multibootselect_1.0 r5_mipsel.ipk (contained in the File-mke2usb gigablue-r7.zip) which is copied to / tmp and installed in each image.

Then created the multiboot USB pen, remove from the PC and inserted into the USB port back of Giga off (not in stby).
Start the gig and, if everything was done correctly, you will start the second image you selected.
DO NOT operate the front door of the Giga SE, if you remove the usb hub 'HardDisk!

! NOTE!

The ONLY Gigablue I managed to start and openMips openAAF, while hdFreaks_v4 I have not tested.
I want to emphasize that the firmware for download ONLY in multiboot USB pen not allowed to start: instead using the firmware for SE multiboot worked.

I repeat: The GIGA FIRMWARE ONLY IF DOWNLOADED TO CREATE THE PEN USB Multiboot!!

How does it work:

Usually, when you enter OSCam WebIF using browser on your phone, the screen gets filled with smallish symbols and tiny buttons, which are hard to read and navigate.

After installing Touch WebIF, you will see the following screen instead:

Important note:

Touch WebIF is not a replacement interface - you always can return to the original WebIF by touching the "OSCam" word in title bar.
The aim is to provide touch-friendly interface to the most frequently used operations you may need to perform from the phone, and leaving the rest to the original web interface, optimized for big screens.

Usage:

- Pressing Readers, Log or System button (more to be added later) opens the underlying section. Second touch hides it back.
- Touching the title bar takes you to the original WebIF (status page). Choosing "STATUS" link will bring you back to the Touch WebIF.

Installation:

- download the attached STATUS.tpl.txt
- rename it to STATUS.tpl

If you already use OSCam templates - I assume you know what you are doing and how to install a template.

If you don't (your oscam.conf file doesn't contain httptpl parameter):

- create a new folder (e.g. /var/tuxbox/config/TPL)
- put the downloaded and renamed STATUS.tpl inside this folder
- add httptpl parameter pointing to the folder you created in [webif] section of oscam.conf file, for example:

- restart OSCam
- enjoy !

- Fix "hide" and "debug level" links in original WebIF status page
(nice side effect: original WebIF can be forced by adding any parameter to status url,

- Show online/idle time as HH:MM:SS instead of seconds
- Log formatting fix (line was improperly split between 1st and 2nd sub-lines)
- Opening section automatically hides other open sections

Cu toate acestea, o mare problema in cazul lansarii acestor minunatii tehnologice o vor reprezenta – probabil ghiciti – preturile incredibil de mari.

Probabil ca pentru cei mai multi dintre noi acest pret este suficient de mare incat sa “omoare” instantaneu orice forma de interes fata de un asemenea gadget. Pe de alta parte, sigur vor exista si entuziasti care sa cheltuiasca atat pentru o imagine net superioara. Cu toate acestea nici oficialii Samsung nu se asteapta la vazari record si sunt de acord cu faptul ca va fi nevoie de cel putin doi trei ani pana cand tehnologia va fi adoptata la nivel larg pe piata.

Totusi, daca luam in calcul faptul ca si LG ne promite televizoare OLED anul acesta, exista posibilitatea sa vedem la acest nivel o competitie care va genera fara indoiala preturi ceva mai mici si un numar mai mare de unitati vandute.

Ramane sa vedem cine va castiga startul in aceasta competitie si mai ales cum vor reactiona clientii in raport cu noua tehnologie.

Cati dintre noi vor alege sa faca un upgrade de la vechiul televizor la unul mult mai bun, dar si mult mai scump? ''

Începand cu data de 1 ianuarie 2013, transmisia digitală pe satelit a programelor SRTv se va face folosind modulaţie DVB-S2 şi compresie H.264 (standard cunoscut şi sub numele de MPEG-4 Part 10 sau AVC).

'' Publicaţia Cult of Mac oferă o imagine asupra modului în care va arăta televizorul HD de la Apple. Fotografiile publicate au fost furnizate de o sursă "de încredere" care a cerut să-i fie păstrat anonimatul şi care susţine că ceea ce vedeţi mai jos este prototipul produsului pe care Apple se pregăteşte să-l lanseze pe piaţă.

Dacă informaţiile se dovedesc reale, televizorul va avea acelaşi design precum monitorul LED Cinema Display de la Apple, dar "mult mai mare" şi este dotat cu o cameră iSight pentru a permite efectuarea de video conferinţe gratuite prin FaceTime. Camera este una sofisticată, cu recunoaştere facială şi cu capacitatea de urmări utilizatorul în timp ce se plimbă prin cameră. Asta permite efectuarea de apeluri video de oriunde din cameră, nu neaparat din faţa televizorului. În plus, apelurile sunt iniţiate de Siri, asistentul virtual de pe iPhone 4S, susţine sursa citată.

Zvonurile privind lansarea unui televizor de către Apple au apărut încă după ce Steve Jobs i-a spus biografului său că a reuşit să creeze o interfaţă extraordinară pentru un viitor televizor. Până în prezent, însă, prezenţa companiei pe această piaţă este modestă, lansând doar Apple Tv box, care se poate conecta la televizoarele existente şi are caracteristici limitate. Sursa citată de Cult of Mac susţine că a văzut în funcţiune prototipul dispozitivului la care se referea Steve Jobs.

Analistul TV Paul Gagnon se aşteaptă ca Apple să introducă o linie de televizoare chiar în acest an. El a amintit că furnizorul chinez al Apple, Foxconn, a cumpărat 10% din acţiunile Sharp, unul dintre principalii furnizori de ecrane pentru noua tableta iPad. Gagnon spune că televizorul de la Apple va avea dimensiuni ce vor varia între 40 şi 60 de inci şi vor costa între 1.000 şi 2.000 de dolari .
